Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, addressing the Smriti Prakatyotsav Mela-2025 in Lakhimpur Kheri, emphasized natural farming, stating the government's success in preventing Sharda River flooding this year. The event, honoring Sant Kabir, highlighted the state's efforts in environmental preservation.
CM Adityanath pointed out that excessive chemical use in farming has left lands barren and that natural farming is the sustainable way forward. He recommended using cow dung over fertilizers for economic benefits and healthier produce, stressing the importance of rainwater harvesting.
In a significant announcement, Adityanath proposed renaming Mustafabad village to Kabirdham, underscoring cultural restoration. Criticizing previous administrations for altering place names linked to cultural heritage, he referenced his government's actions in renaming Prayagraj and Ayodhya. The event celebrated the contributions of Sant Kabir to Indian culture.
