Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sparked a discussion by asserting that the impact of 'political Islam' on Indian history has been largely overlooked, despite its significant implications for the Sanatan Dharma. Speaking at an event in Gorakhpur, he referenced the struggles of renowned historical figures such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharana Pratap against this ideological force.
Adityanath criticized the focus on British and French colonialism, suggesting that 'political Islam' posed an equally formidable challenge that has been minimized in historical discourse. He lauded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for its unwavering commitment to constructing the Ram temple, despite opposition.
