Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has conveyed warm greetings on the occasion of Bhai Dooj, a festival celebrating the enduring bonds of love and affection between siblings. He highlighted Bhai Dooj as a day when sisters wish long life, happiness, and prosperity for their brothers by applying tilak - a symbolic ritual.
Sukhu urged citizens to uphold the spirit of brotherhood and familial ties, wishing for happiness, good health, and prosperity across the state. Meanwhile, significant state initiatives were unveiled, including a de-addiction center at Kotala-Badoga with comprehensive facilities like sports and rehabilitation programs hosting 100 beds and medical services.
Another landmark announcement from Sukhu’s office mentions the Rajiv Gandhi Self-Employment Start-up Scheme, already providing significant benefits to 79 youths with financial assistance and subsidies. The initiative aims for sustainable livelihoods by integrating young entrepreneurs into governmental operations, thus fostering self-reliance.
