In response to the tragic deaths of IPS officer Y Puran Kumar and ASI Sandeep, Haryana DGP OP Singh addressed growing concerns about social media narratives misrepresenting reality. The Director General reassured the public of the police force’s unyielding resolve, emphasizing a clear distinction between online discourses and tangible events.
DGP Singh expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of the two dedicated officers, noting their long-standing service of 20-25 years. He lamented the distortion portrayed on social media, which he argued fosters unnecessary panic, and assured that the morale within the police force remains unshattered.
Highlighting a proactive approach, Singh announced bolstering the Officers' Wives' Association to support officers' families, curb future tragedies, and ensure mental well-being. Emphasizing the importance of experienced officers, Singh outlined the force’s commitment to maintaining public order and enhancing efficiency, especially with upcoming festivals.
