Amid the high-stakes Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections, notable personalities from the film industry, including actress Trisha Krishnan, turned up to cast their votes, setting an example of participatory democracy. Trisha, dressed in a green cord set, was among the celebrated names spotted at polling stations across Chennai.
Joining her was actor Vijay Sethupathi, who voted in Anna Nagar's Kilpauk constituency. Addressing the media, Sethupathi highlighted the crucial act of voting as a civic duty, urging citizens, especially the youth, to participate actively in the electoral process.
The elections, characterized by a heated contest between the DMK-led alliance and the AIADMK-led NDA, witnessed participation from several leaders and actors, including Chief Minister MK Stalin and Rajinikanth. With the polling spread across Tamil Nadu's 234 constituencies in a single phase, the outcome promises to shape the state’s political landscape.
