Several workers suffered injuries in a blast at a fireworks manufacturing unit in Mundathikkode on Tuesday. The explosion occurred while workers were preparing fireworks for an upcoming temple festival in Thrissur, officials reported.
State Health Minister Veena George has directed immediate medical response, ensuring specialized treatment for the injured at the Government Medical College in Thrissur. In addition, she instructed the deployment of extra ambulances, including those from the Kaniv 108 service, to facilitate quick patient transport.
