On the anniversary of his death, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored the memory of Chhatrapati Shivaji by acknowledging his significant contributions to India's cultural and political milieu.
In an expression of reverence, Adityanath used the social media platform X to laud Shivaji's dedication to defending his homeland and preserving its Sanatan culture. He portrayed Shivaji as a guiding force of indomitable courage, valour, and good governance.
Other dignitaries, such as Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, also paid homage. Maurya highlighted Shivaji's visionary leadership, while Pathak called him the 'flag bearer of Sanatan culture' and a national pride. This ceremony marks a committed tribute to Shivaji's lifelong legacy in establishing the Maratha kingdom.
