Renowned American travel writer and researcher Patrick A Rogers, celebrated for his work on Meghalaya's 'living root bridges,' passed away from cardiac arrest during a visit to a remote village in East Khasi Hills district. Officials confirmed his death on Thursday.

Rogers, who initiated the 'Living Root Bridge Project' and authored 'The Green Unknown: Travels in the Khasi Hills,' leaves behind a significant legacy.
