At the inauguration of the Gandhinagar North Premier League 2026, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi praised the state as the safest for women, contrasting it with other regions. Speaking on Wednesday night, Sanghavi emphasized that women can enjoy late-night festivities without fear.
Highlighting the upcoming local self-governing body elections, Sanghavi urged citizens to vote and challenge those criticizing the state's safety record. The elections are set for April 26, marking an opportunity for public engagement.
Sanghavi also stressed the significance of sports, particularly for the youth, and demonstrated this commitment by playing cricket with participants of the GNPL competition.
