Rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion was unexpectedly taken to the hospital after falling ill during her performance in 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical,' according to E! News. The incident occurred mid-show on March 31, when the artist began feeling unwell, as confirmed by a statement from her representative.

The statement highlighted, 'During Tuesday night's production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are being evaluated.' The health scare comes just days after Megan's Broadway debut, where she took on the iconic role of Harold Zidler, making her the first female-identifying performer to do so in any production of the musical.

Megan, who succeeded Bob the Drag Queen in the role, had expressed her excitement about the venture, stating in February that theater presented a new creative challenge. The Grammy-winning artist praised the cast and crew after her opening night on March 24. 'Moulin Rouge! The Musical,' which premiered on Broadway in 2019, has won 14 Tony Awards and is set to feature Megan until May 17.
