Tirumala's Culinary Operations: No Disruptions in Laddu & Annadanam Supply

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) confirmed on Thursday that there is no disruption in the supply of cooking gas essential for producing the famed laddus and Annadanam offerings at the Tirumala temple. This assurance addresses concerns about the temple's daily and festival culinary demands.

According to temple authorities, nearly four lakh laddus are crafted every day, rising to about 10 lakh during festivals, requiring over 10 tonnes of cooking gas daily. Despite these extensive needs, TTD officials maintain that buffer stock strategies safeguard against potential shortages.

TTD prioritizes the distribution of these culinary delights first to Tirumala before dispatching to its information centres and other significant temples. While piped gas is used for major operations, auxiliary units rely on cylinders. The main Annadanam centre prepares approximately 75,000 meals average daily, escalating to over three lakh during peak festive periods.
