In a recent visit to the sacred Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh, former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chief and YSR Congress Party Leader YV Subba Reddy took part in a religious ceremony, offering prayers at Lord Venkateswara’s shrine. Following the spiritual observance, temple officials extended respect by presenting Reddy with silk clothes at the Ranganayaka Mandapam.
During this period, Tamil Nadu High Court Justice Sushrut Aravind also made his way to the historic site to seek blessings. Their visit coincided with a political stir sparked within the state.
On February 7, YSR Congress Party leader Gudivada Amarnath launched a pointed inquiry directed at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Amarnath questioned Naidu's basis for allegedly propagating the claim that animal fat is included in the celebrated Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) laddu, a charge supposedly disproven by a report from a Supreme Court-supervised Special Investigation Team. Amarnath expressed suspicion towards the formation of additional committees potentially poised to direct blame towards the YSR Congress Party, thereby reigniting debates and dividing political opinions in the region.
