Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has sharply criticized Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his attacks on Gaurav Gogoi, associating him with Pakistan links and involving his family in political discourse. Vadra condemned this as "wrong politics," urging a shift towards constructive political engagement.
Following her homage to legendary singer Zubeen Garg at the 'Zubeen Khetra' cremation ground, Vadra praised Garg for transcending politics and promoting a message of love throughout his life. She highlighted the stark contrast in political approaches, asserting that Gogoi's emphasis on positivity risks making him a target for polarizing figures.
In her comments, Vadra urged Sarma to address pressing issues facing Assam, such as youth unemployment and rampant corruption, instead of engaging in personal attacks. She insisted on keeping personal and sacred spaces like Zubeen Garg's cremation ground free from political exploitation.
