Government Unveils Rs 25,060-Crore Export Promotion Mission

The government has unveiled a comprehensive Rs 25,060-crore export promotion mission, consisting of seven targeted measures designed to boost the country's outbound shipments. The initiative emphasizes support for MSMEs and leverages digital and financial instruments to enhance global trade engagement.
Measures announced include credit facilities with interest subvention and partial credit guarantees for e-commerce exporters, enabling them to access new markets and mitigate risks. The Direct E-Commerce Credit Facility will offer up to Rs 50 lakh in support with 90% guarantee coverage, while the Overseas Inventory Credit Facility extends up to Rs 5 crore with a 75% guarantee.
To bolster MSMEs, the order supports export factoring by offering a 2.75% interest subvention. The initiative also focuses on compliance readiness and overcoming logistics barriers by offering assistance with testing, certifications, and international warehousing infrastructure to streamline the export process.
