The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch in Kashmir has uncovered a major admission fraud case, implicating four individuals in a medical college scam, as reported on Friday.
The cheaters reportedly orchestrated a fraudulent admission scheme for a medical institution in Bangladesh. A chargesheet has been filed with the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Srinagar, according to official sources.
The investigation revealed that the accused swindled large sums from complainants, only a fraction of which was used for legitimate college fees, resulting in the eventual dismissal of the student due to non-payment.
