In a landmark achievement, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has become the first Indian to board the International Space Station (ISS) on the Axiom Mission-4. Shukla described the journey as 'unforgettable' and his return to Earth as 'exhilarating' in an event organized in Barpar village, Uttar Pradesh.
Addressing an audience of young enthusiasts gathered by BJP MP Shashank Mani Tripathi, Shukla underscored India's aspirations in space exploration. He discussed the nation's ambitious space policy, which includes the Gaganyaan mission aimed at safely sending Indians into space and the longer-term goal of establishing a presence on the Moon by 2040.
Having reached the ISS in June and returned by July, Shukla conveyed the awe-inspiring experience of observing Earth from space. He motivated young Indians to pursue space exploration with passion and determination, leveraging his Axiom Mission-4 experiences to inspire the next generation.
