In a significant political development, influential leaders from Maharashtra's Solapur district have switched allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The ceremony was held in Mumbai with state BJP president Ravindra Chavan officiating at the event.
Nagnath Kshirsagar and Somesh Kshirsagar from the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, alongside Rajan Patil and Yashwant Mane, former MLAs associated with the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, formally joined BJP. This shift comes as the party seeks to strengthen its foothold in the region.
Among those inducted are Patil's sons, Balraje and Ajinkyarana, signaling a generational shift toward the BJP. The event was also attended by notable figures such as Rural Development Minister Jaykumar Gore and MLA Sachin Dada Kalyanshetti, indicating broader support for the move.
