Around 10 people are missing after a boat capsized in the Kaudiyala river near the remote Bharathapur village on Wednesday. The incident has spurred a comprehensive rescue operation under the directive of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The mishap occurred at approximately 6 pm as 15 individuals from Khairatiya village were traveling by boat to Bharathapur. Locals attribute the capsizing to the strong water currents, which left the small community in distress.
Officials are facing challenges due to the area's inaccessibility and communication difficulties, with rescue teams from NDRF and SDRF being rushed to the site. Authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of the missing victims and the swift continuation of rescue and relief operations.
