Sunday Hotels, a premium subsidiary of OYO's parent company Prism, announced plans on Monday to broaden its reach by unveiling nine additional properties in national parks and wildlife reserves by March 2024.
The first of these, Sunday Hotel & Resort at Kiyari Kham near Jim Corbett National Park, began operations last week. Upcoming properties under the 'Sunday Wildlife Collection' will be located in popular wildlife tourism areas, including Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh, and Kanha, with southern locations in Periyar, Nagarhole, and Wayanad.
Aditya Sharma, Business Head of Sunday, emphasized that the expansion not only aligns with wildlife tourism growth but also supports local communities through employment and sustainable practices. India's jungle tourism sector is currently expanding rapidly, thanks to increased disposable income and demand for eco-conscious travel experiences.
