INS Sahyadri Strengthens Indo-Japan Naval Ties

In a significant demonstration of naval cooperation, India's guided missile stealth frigate, INS Sahyadri, has taken part in the Japan India Maritime Exercise 2025, also known as JAIMEX 25. The exercise highlights the robust naval relationship between India and Japan, focusing on enhancing maritime defense capabilities.

Conducted from October 16-18, the exercise included advanced anti-submarine warfare and missile defense drills. The event underscored the strategic partnership between the two nations, bolstering interoperability through flying operations and underway replenishment as part of the sea phase.

Amidst the enduring Indo-Pacific deployment, INS Sahyadri's visit to Yokosuka, Japan, fosters deeper professional and cultural ties. Joint activities such as cross-deck visits, operational planning, and combined yoga are included, further cementing the bonds between the Indian Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
