The Indian Ministry of External Affairs revealed that more than 2,790 Indian nationals have been deported from the United States since January after failing to meet residency criteria. These individuals, who were staying illegally, returned to India, said Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal during a Thursday media briefing.
Jaiswal highlighted that each deportation followed thorough verification of the individuals' credentials and nationality, with the process concluding as of October 29th. This figure reflects the ongoing international cooperation and adherence to immigration policies between India and the US.
Additionally, the Ministry reported around 100 deportations from the United Kingdom this year. Like the US process, these deportations were also subjected to rigorous nationality verification, maintaining transparent protocols with foreign governments.
