India Stands Firm on Kashmir, Dismisses OIC Remarks

India has issued a firm retort to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) regarding comments made about Jammu and Kashmir, asserting the group lacks any standing to address India's internal matters. The rebuff highlights ongoing tensions over Kashmir and India's firm stance on sovereignty.

OIC had earlier expressed 'full solidarity' with Jammu and Kashmir residents, labeling their struggle a 'legitimate quest for the right to self-determination.' India swiftly dismissed these remarks, maintaining its longstanding position on Kashmir as a strictly internal affair.

In separate developments, Indian authorities remain vigilant over controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, who is wanted in India for money laundering and promoting extremism. Naik, absent from India since 2016, was granted Malaysian residency by Mahathir Mohamed's government.
