In a significant legal development, a city court has temporarily prohibited entities from exploiting actor Chiranjeevi's name, image, and voice for commercial purposes without his explicit consent.

The Telugu film industry icon had approached the court to seek protection against over 30 defendants, including digital media and clothing companies, who have allegedly used his likeness without authorization. His petition emphasized safeguarding his personality rights.

The court acknowledged Chiranjeevi's prominence in the southern film industry, citing his widely recognized titles and attributes. Highlighting the unauthorised commercial use on merchandise and through AI-generated content, the court ordered a restraint on such activities until final judgment.
