Telugu film icon Chiranjeevi has lodged a formal complaint regarding the circulation of AI-generated deepfake videos that wrongly portray him in compromising scenarios. According to police reports on Monday, these deceitful materials have surfaced across various websites, employing Chiranjeevi's name and likeness to spread obscene visuals.
The actor emphasized in his complaint that these videos are causing significant damage to his professional stature and personal reputation. The content, developed using advanced artificial intelligence techniques, has morphed his facial characteristics unethically, presenting him in an indecent manner.
The case was promptly registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station under pertinent sections of the IT Act, BNS, and the Indecent Representation of Women Act, 1986. Authorities are seeking immediate intervention to eliminate such malicious content from the internet while limiting its further dissemination.
