In a bid to ensure uninterrupted educational sessions, the administration in Bihar's Madhubani district has placed restrictions on school teachers, banning the use of mobile phones during class hours.
District Magistrate Anand Sharma, a 2013-batch IAS officer, implemented the measure under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. This decision follows Sharma's viral announcement made during a 'Census Festival' aimed at complete self-enumeration in the district.
Addressing infrastructural challenges, Sharma proposed operating classes in two shifts, with younger students attending in the morning and senior classes in the afternoon to accommodate space constraints.
