Students Unite for Rights March: ABVP's Push for University Reforms

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) took to the streets of Delhi University, staging a massive 'Student Rights March' on Tuesday. Thousands of students joined to advocate for a comprehensive 12-point agenda focusing on academic reforms, enhanced infrastructure, and inclusivity across the campus.

The protest, held at the Faculty of Arts, brought attention to several pressing issues, including inadequate response from the university administration. One major demand by ABVP is to make the university 'porta-cabin free' and to conduct essential fire safety audits, especially after a fire incident at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College raised safety alarms.

Additional demands featured reductions in fees for specific programs, supplementary exams for final-year students, and constructing new hostels. ABVP also urged for free education for transgender students and better accessibility for disabled students. With student representation in the Academic Council and improvements in campus hygiene and food quality, the ABVP's message was clear: heed our demands or face escalating protests.
