Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is pushing for rapid progress in land allocation for data centre companies, aiming to attract international investments. During a meeting, Fadnavis emphasized the importance of completing critical requirements, notably land acquisition, promptly to set up data centre projects within the defined timelines.
The state is enhancing infrastructure and electricity supply to support incoming investments, with CIDCO tasked with developing a land bank. Land allocation for both EduCity and MediCity projects, aimed at global universities, is also prioritized to boost the state’s educational landscape, enhancing research and startup growth.
Adjacent to the Navi Mumbai International Airport, these projects have grabbed international attention, with several universities expressing interest in setting up campuses. Fadnavis underscored the benefits of these initiatives in drawing globally reputed institutions to strengthen Maharashtra's position as an educational and research hub.
