The AAP government unveiled 'Punjab Sikhya Kranti 2.0', marking a significant step forward in revolutionizing school education. The initiative, featuring a Rs 3,500 crore budget, aims to align Punjab's education standards with global benchmarks over the next six years.

Backed by a World Bank collaboration, this initiative underscores global recognition of Punjab’s progress in public education reforms. Comprising Rs 2,500 crore of World Bank assistance and Rs 1,000 crore from the state, the mission seeks to deepen existing reforms in government schools. Key areas of focus include enhancing foundational learning, expanding career pathways, and modernizing infrastructure.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann emphasized that Punjab’s education reforms have already redefined the state's educational landscape. The partnership with the World Bank highlights Punjab’s commitment to excellence and transparency in education. Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains noted the plan's intent to accelerate Punjab’s journey from national prominence to global excellence, ensuring every child accesses world-class education opportunities.
