Academic Drama: Supreme Court Influences IIT-Gandhinagar's Review

IIT-Gandhinagar is set to re-evaluate Michel Danino's position as a guest professor after the Supreme Court mandated dissociation from him amid a textbook controversy.
The contentious chapter in question, included in an NCERT textbook, addressed judicial corruption, prompting the court's directive to both central and state governments, affecting not just Danino, but also his associates.
Danino, an eminent scholar and Padma Shri awardee, has faced scrutiny along with two others involved in the curriculum draft, as the court questions their portrayal of the judiciary to students.
