In a tragic incident, three people lost their lives when a car skidded off the road and plummeted into a 250-metre-deep gorge in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district. Local authorities reported the accident, which happened on the Bhiri-Kakola motor road, between Wednesday and Thursday night.
Police received a call about the mishap around midnight, sparking a swift search and rescue operation. The vehicle, en route to Auring from Bhiri, lost control, resulting in the fatal plunge. All three passengers were declared dead at the scene.
The deceased have been identified as Naveen Singh, aged 30, Amit Singh, aged 35, and Anshul, aged 28, all of whom were local residents. This tragic event underscores the hazardous conditions of the region's hilly roads.
