The French container shipping giant, CMA CGM Group, announced on Wednesday that it has reflagged its fifth container vessel in India. The reflagging of 'Vila do Conde' underscores the company's strategic focus on enhancing service efficiency along key trade routes.
This initiative is part of CMA CGM's long-term commitment to the Indian market, reflecting their continued investment in the country's maritime, logistics, and infrastructure sectors. With a capacity of 2,592 TEUs, 'Vila do Conde' joins three other vessels reflagged in India last year, with another planned soon.
Atit Mahajan, Managing Director at CMA CGM India, highlighted the group's dedication to supporting India's global trade role and its economic development through strategic endeavors and improved service offerings. The group maintains connections with India through 19 weekly maritime services and holds stakes in strategic terminals.
