Gujarat: The Rising Hub of Global Manufacturing and Innovation
Gujarat is becoming a prime destination for global investments, driven by its expanding semiconductor and data center sectors. With ambitious plans to reach a USD 3.5 trillion economy by 2047, the state is also focusing on sustainability and women-led development. Strategic industrial hubs aim to propel Gujarat's economic growth.

With a strong presence of over 100 'Fortune 500' companies, Gujarat solidifies its place as a key destination for global capital, as highlighted by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. At a FICCI meeting, he expressed the state's ambition to grow its economy to USD 3.5 trillion by 2047.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated two semiconductor fabrication plants, signifying Gujarat’s pivotal role in the global semiconductor supply chain. The state is also focusing on AI, fintech infrastructure, and women-led development as structural priorities, moving toward carbon neutrality by 2050.
Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi emphasized the importance of semiconductors, data centers, and defense manufacturing in Gujarat’s industrial future. Despite being home to just 5% of India's population, the state contributes significantly to the national GDP and exports, highlighting its economic influence.
