In the aftermath of labor protests at Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd's factory in the Motahaldu industrial area, officials report that the majority of workers have returned to their posts, after an agreement was reached on 12 of 14 negotiated demands.

However, a fraction of the workforce continues to protest, holding out for a primary demand of a Rs 20,000 minimum wage and regulated eight-hour working shifts. According to HR head Subhash Tiwari, wages are currently in line with government mandates, and any potential increases would require new governmental directives.

Heightened tensions have led to the detention of leaders such as Congress figure Harish Paneru, underscoring the ongoing conflict between labor and management in the region. Authorities remain vigilant in maintaining law and order amidst these developments.
