Pakistan Makes Waves in Russian Seafood Market
Pakistan is set to boost its seafood export revenue, with 16 companies securing permission to export to Russia. This move is expected to increase annual earnings from $500 million to $800 million, with hopes to expand exports to other countries in the Eurasian Economic Council.

In a significant development, Pakistan has secured export permission for 16 local seafood companies to enter the Russian market, according to a statement by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry.
Pakistan’s current annual seafood export revenue stands at approximately USD 500 million. However, with the advent of Russian exports, this figure is projected to rise to USD 800 million within the next year, Chaudhry announced.
The minister emphasized that seafood from Pakistan's warm waters offers a competitive edge, and the government is actively seeking new markets in Eurasia to further enhance export potential.
