Karnataka Pioneers Deep Tech Innovation at Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026

Karnataka is reinforcing its commitment to deep technology, responsible artificial intelligence (AI), and sustainable infrastructure as preparations are underway for the Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2026. The state is positioning itself as India's innovation leader, steering clear of a 'race to the bottom' for investments.

Priyank Kharge, Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, highlighted Karnataka's thriving startup ecosystem, valued at over $300 billion, during a BTS 2026 curtain-raiser in Delhi. The summit, themed 'AI and Beyond,' is slated for November 17-19 and will see participation from over 80 countries, including more than 40 diplomats and industry leaders.

Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Founder of Biocon Limited, stated that BTS 2026 will highlight various deep tech and AI innovations, emphasizing the importance of ethical AI deployment. As demand for regulatory sandboxes increases, Karnataka is dedicated to fostering an ecosystem conducive to emerging technologies, ensuring its position at the forefront of global innovation.
