A worker met with a fatal accident while executing a cleaning job at a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) site. The backhoe loader he operated overturned after he failed to apply the brakes.
The mishap occurred when contractor K R Anand's employee, Abhishek, was managing debris at Sunheri Nallah in south Delhi. The loader's front wheel slipped, causing an overturn that proved fatal despite immediate medical intervention.
An investigation has been launched, and the DMRC assured aid to the victim's family while promising appropriate action based on the inquiry's findings.
