In a remarkable achievement, state-run iron ore producer NMDC reported a record production of 53 million tonnes (MT) in the fiscal year 2025-26. The company's sales figures reached a commendable 50.23 MT, showcasing a significant leap in productivity and marking an increase of 21% in production from the previous year.
This historic output was largely fueled by stellar performances at NMDC's key mines in Kirandul and Bacheli, Chhattisgarh, and Donimalai, Karnataka. The fiscal year 2025-26 not only marked a production milestone but also a phase of expansion, including the inauguration of an international office in Dubai and successful operations at Jharkhand's first coal mine.
