Tragedy Strikes: Fatal Collision on Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway

In a tragic road accident on the Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway, eight women lost their lives and three sustained injuries when a speeding truck rammed into a tempo in Jalna district. The women were returning home after work when the accident occurred.

The tempo, carrying 11 people including the driver, was hit from behind by the truck near Kadvanchi village. Seven women died instantly, while another succumbed to injuries at a local hospital. The deceased were residents of Jalna tehsil, with one victim's identity pending confirmation.

The truck driver has been apprehended, and a case is filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Maharashtra's Environment Minister expressed condolences, pledging government aid for the victims' families and the injured.
