Honda Cars India Sales Decline as New BEV Launch Looms
Honda Cars India reported an 18.41% decrease in total vehicle sales in March, dropping to 10,036 units compared to 11,884 units the previous year. Domestic sales accounted for 7,585 units, while 2,451 were exports. Honda plans to expand its lineup, launching its first BEV soon.

Honda Cars India has witnessed an 18.41 percent decline in vehicle sales for March, with total units sold falling to 10,036 from 11,884 during the same period last year. According to the company, of these, 7,585 units were sold domestically, while 2,451 were exported.
The demand for Honda models, including the popular Amaze and Elevate, remains strong, stated Kunal Behl, Vice President of marketing and sales at Honda Cars India Ltd. Behl expressed confidence in the company's strategy as they prepare to enter the new fiscal year.
In a bid to strengthen its market presence, Honda Cars India is looking forward to expanding its lineup with the launch of its first Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) in the latter half of the fiscal year. This move marks a significant step in aligning with global trends towards cleaner automotive technology.
