Foundation Laid for Andhra Pradesh's New Steel Powerhouse
Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister inaugurated the Rs 1.36 lakh-crore ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India plant in Anakapalli. The plant, sprawling across 5,465 acres, will produce 17.8 million tons annually, creating one lakh jobs. An associated port will add 6,000 jobs, bolstering India's steel industry influence.

In a landmark development, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has inaugurated the foundation for a monumental steel plant by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India in Nakkapalli mandal, Anakapalli district.
This Rs 1.36 lakh-crore venture is poised to change the landscape of India's steel industry, offering substantial economic growth potential. The first phase, with a 7.3 million ton capacity, promises a significant production boost, with an eventual expansion to 17.8 million tons annually.
Complementing this is a port facility spanning 316 acres, adding further job opportunities. The state government's commitment to facilitating and expediting the project is unwavering, promising significant infrastructure enhancements like a highway link to bolster connectivity and transport efficiency.
