Delhi's Budget Session Begins with 'Kheer Ceremony' and Vision for Development

The Delhi Assembly Budget Session commenced with the traditional 'Kheer Ceremony' on Monday, where Chief Minister Rekha Gupta underscored the government's commitment to its vision of 'Developed Delhi, Green Delhi'. According to a press release from the Chief Minister’s Office, the event symbolizes prosperity and public welfare, reflecting the goals of the upcoming budget.
The ceremony was graced by farmers, students, teachers, healthcare professionals, transgender community members, women drivers, and journalists, alongside the Chief Minister. In a gesture of honor, farmers presented CM Gupta with a traditional turban during the proceedings.
Present at the event were Cabinet Ministers Pravesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, and Kapil Mishra, along with numerous MLAs and dignitaries. Chief Minister Gupta stated that this second budget aims to expedite Delhi's development, enhance infrastructure, health standards, and create a green, clean urban environment. The Chief Minister reiterated that 'Viksit Delhi, Harit Delhi' is a definitive government vision, not merely a slogan, and expressed gratitude for the citizens' support as the assembly session continues until March 25.
