Renault, the French automobile giant, is making a strategic move in India with the launch of an updated version of its mid-sized SUV, the Duster. This introduction signifies the brand's efforts to reclaim its market share in the competitive Indian passenger vehicle sector, where it once held a substantial position.
Currently, Renault's product lineup includes four models: the Kwid, Triber, Kiger, and now, the newly revamped Duster. This move comes as Renault halts production roles at its Sriperumbudur plant, a facility that had been engaged in Duster manufacturing since its inception in 2012.
In a bid to not only cater to local demands but also make a mark globally, Renault plans to export the Duster to international markets. Additionally, the automaker is set to launch a hybrid variant during the festive season, underscoring its commitment to innovation and market expansion.
