Hindustan Platinum, a renowned refiner and manufacturer of precious metals, is set to widen its import network by sourcing spent catalysts from oil refineries across the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. This strategic move aims to secure long-term supplies essential for various Indian industries.

Speaking at the Asian Refining Technology Conference, Rajeev Mishra, the company's senior vice president for refining services, highlighted the increasing demand for precious metals in India, driven by significant industrial development. The company plans to engage in discussions at the upcoming European Refining Technology Conference in Cannes from November 17 to 20.

In a bid to expand its supplier network, Hindustan Platinum is also eyeing collaborations with refiners from Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Poland. Additionally, it is venturing into the renewable energy sector, with ongoing infrastructure development in solar power. The company, established in 1961, already refines metals for industries in over 50 countries, backing sectors such as pharma and specialty chemicals.
