Two individuals have been apprehended in connection with a high-profile house burglary, with police successfully recovering gold and silver articles valued at approximately Rs 72 lakh, officials reported on Wednesday.
The investigation commenced following a complaint lodged by a resident of Vishwapriya Layout at the Begur police station. According to the complaint, the resident returned home to discover the front door broken and ajar, with substantial valuables missing.
Acting on intelligence from informants, police detained a suspect near Begur Lake Koli on August 6, who confessed to the crime. This revelation led to the recovery of significant portions of the stolen goods from pawn shops. Additional arrests and recoveries followed, uncovering a broader criminal operation in the region.
