The FTA, officially initiated in March 2025, shows promise as the third round of negotiations wraps up in Queenstown, New Zealand. The bilateral trade, which saw notable growth in 2024-25, is expected to be further bolstered by the agreement.
Addressing market access issues and enhancing connectivity are central to the talks, with both countries aiming to leverage potential economic opportunities in key sectors. This agreement could redefine India-New Zealand trade relations, fostering a mutually beneficial economic partnership.
