In a significant step towards normalizing train services in the aftermath of heavy rainfall disruptions in August, four long-distance trains are set to resume operations from November. This marks the sixth phase of reinstatement, according to a senior official.

The specific trains reinstated include Train No 14610 from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Yoganagari Rishikesh on November 1, followed by Train No 19804 from Katra to Kota, Train No 19028 from Jammu Tawi to Bandra Terminus, and finally Train No 15656 from Katra to Kamakhya by November 5.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Jammu division, Uchit Singhal, confirmed in a statement that each train operation is commencing post a thorough safety assessment of the tracks. Passengers have been advised to check schedules online or contact helplines for up-to-date travel information, as periodic safety reviews continue.
