Google has unveiled the name of its new London headquarters as 'Platform 37', cleverly nodding to its neighbor King's Cross railway station and a groundbreaking move by DeepMind's AI system AlphaGo. Platform 37 will soon welcome teams from Google and Google DeepMind.

'Move 37', executed almost a decade ago by AlphaGo, was initially seen as a mistake by human experts during a legendary match against Go world champion Lee Sae Dol. However, it ultimately led to AlphaGo's victory, marking a new era in artificial intelligence, according to Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis.

The 330-meter-long building, designed by architects Thomas Heatherwick and Bjarke Ingels, surpasses the height of London's 310-meter Shard skyscraper. Google plans to open 'The AI Exchange', a space for AI enthusiasts, later this year, solidifying Platform 37's role in the company's global architecture.
