Humain Revolutionizes OS with Voice-Controlled Tech
Saudi-based AI startup Humain, established by the kingdom's sovereign wealth fund, is launching a voice-activated computer operating system. Dubbed Humain 1, the system aims to replace traditional icon-based systems. It was developed under the leadership of CEO Tareq Amin and backed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The Saudi AI startup Humain, founded by the kingdom's sovereign wealth fund, has announced the launch of an innovative computer operating system this week. The new system allows users to perform tasks by speaking directly to the computer, a company representative confirmed on Monday.
Humain sees its groundbreaking product, Humain 1, as a potential game-changer in the realm of personal computer operating systems, traditionally dominated by platforms like Windows and macOS since the mid-1980s. "Rather than relying on icons for individual applications, users can now express their intent verbally," said CEO Tareq Amin at the Fortune Global Forum held in Riyadh.
While similar products are being explored by other companies, Humain strives to be the first to officially debut this advancement. Established in May, the startup operates under the Public Investment Fund and is spearheaded by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It provides a variety of AI services and products, including data centers and advanced AI models. Recently, CEO Amin disclosed the company's plans to construct approximately 6 gigawatts of data center capacity, though exact locations remain undisclosed.
