Ukraine Unveils Advanced AI-Powered Sea Drones in Black Sea Operation

Ukraine's state security service has unveiled a significant advancement in naval warfare with its upgraded sea drone, known as the Sea Baby. The drone is now capable of operating anywhere in the Black Sea, carrying considerably heavier weapons and utilizing artificial intelligence for precise targeting.

The Sea Baby has been instrumental in Ukraine's aggressive strategy to target Russian shipping and infrastructure, compelling a strategic shift in operations by Russia's navy. According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the enhanced drone's range has been expanded to 1,500 km, allowing it to deliver a payload of up to 2,000 kg.

In a demonstration attended by international media, the vessel showcased variants equipped with multiple-rocket launchers and stabilized machine-gun turrets, alongside AI-assisted targeting systems. These developments highlight an advanced shift towards effective, remote-controlled naval warfare.
