His performance helped Hyderabad set an impressive total of 242-2, leaving Delhi to chase in vain with just 195-9 at the close.
'We started with a plan, but the wicket was slow,' Sharma commented after the match. 'You're unsure of the par score until the end of 20 overs, but I aimed to entertain the crowd.' His partnership with Australian opener Travis Head has been vital in recent seasons, allowing him to showcase his batting prowess.
Sharma attributes his success to the team environment and support from the captain and coach, emphasizing the impact since 2024. Sunrisers Hyderabad, now third in the IPL standings, looks ahead to their next encounter with the Rajasthan Royals on Saturday.
